Quick Answer

HOD Media's reseller program lets agencies, freelancers, and IT service providers offer online stores to their clients under their own brand. Resellers get a partner dashboard to create and manage multiple store accounts, set their own client pricing, and access HOD Media's store builder, payment collection, and order management tools. The program is built for Indian small businesses: stores support INR pricing, UPI and card payments, and GST-compliant invoices. Resellers keep the client relationship while HOD Media handles hosting, security, and software updates.

HOD Media's partner programme lets an agency run its own ecommerce SaaS. You point a domain at us, put your brand on it, set your own packages and prices, and launch online stores for your clients in about ten minutes each — all on your domain, with your WhatsApp number and your email address, and your clients paying you on your own payment gateway.

There is no platform fee. The only thing you pay is ₹299 per live store per month, and every store is free for its first 3 months. There is no revenue share, no commission on your clients' sales and no contract.

What you are selling

A finished product, with your name on it

You are not reselling a licence or a lead. You are reselling the whole platform — the part that takes years to build and never stops needing maintenance — with your brand where ours would be.

Your domain, everywhere

One domain carries the lot: your public pricing page, your clients' dashboards, every storefront you launch and every order-tracking page, all under one wildcard SSL certificate we issue and renew.

Your WhatsApp and your email

Login codes and order updates leave from your own WhatsApp Business number and your own sending domain. We are not in that path at all — and there is no silent fallback to our accounts.

A dashboard your client believes is yours

Products, inventory, orders, COD and online payments on their own gateway keys, GST invoicing, discounts, delivery charges, 88 themes, WhatsApp and email automation. Our name is on none of it.

Prices you set, money you keep

Build any package you like and charge whatever you want for it. Your client pays you on your own gateway. We never invoice them, never contact them and take no percentage of their sales.

Every release, the day it ships

Whatever we build for HOD merchants reaches your fleet the same day, at no extra wholesale. You are not maintaining a fork or waiting on an upgrade cycle.

You are the only support desk

Your support email and phone are printed in every email your fleet sends. Your clients contact you; you contact us. That is the whole escalation path.

Where your brand appears

  • Your public pricing page
  • Every storefront you launch
  • Your clients' dashboards
  • Order and shipping emails
  • WhatsApp login codes
  • Order-tracking pages
  • Invoices your clients send
  • The URL in every browser bar

Where ours appears

Nowhere your client can reach. We hold no relationship with them, send them nothing, and bill them for nothing. If they search for the company behind their store, they find yours.

The one place our name exists is your own account with us — your wallet, your wholesale prices and your invoices from us, which nobody else can see.

What it costs you

Two charges. No revenue share.

One is for running a platform at all, the other is per store you sell. Both come out of a prepaid wallet, so there is no invoice to chase, nothing to cancel and no cut of your sales.

Free, for everyone

1 · Platform fee

₹0/month

For running a platform of your own — one store or five hundred, the number never changes.

  • Your own domain, with SSL for every store on it
  • Your brand on every screen your clients see
  • Your partner portal and their merchant dashboards
  • Your own hosted pricing page for self-serve buyers
  • Every feature we ship, the day we ship it

There is no platform fee to waive, wait for or grow out of. Running your platform costs nothing — the only thing you ever pay us is wholesale on the stores you actually have live. You would be partner #23 on a programme still in its first 100.

2 · Wholesale, per store you sell

₹299/store/month

One rate, whatever term you sell — ₹3,588 for a year of a store, and nothing to commit to

What one client's store costs you. Nothing at all for stores you have not sold.

Free for the first 3 months. Every store you launch runs on us for a full quarter. Charge your client from day one and that is your float.

  • The whole store — products, orders, checkout, 88 themes
  • COD and online payments on the client's own gateway keys
  • GST invoicing, discounts, delivery charges, coupons
  • WhatsApp and email automation, at no extra wholesale
  • Custom domain and SSL for the client's own shop

You decide what to charge for it. Your client's money goes to your gateway — we never see it, never invoice them and take no percentage of their sales.

The maths

What a fleet is worth

The same projection your partner portal runs, on your numbers. One store is one seat: every seat you launch is free for 3 months, then ₹299 a month for as long as it is live. That is the entire price list, and everything below is a consequence of it.

Your numbers

Drag these to match how you actually sell.

₹300 per seat per month is yours, every month after the free 3 — we take ₹299.

Free trial you give your clientNone

Every seat is free to you for 3 months. Giving none away leaves 3 months where your client pays you and we charge you nothing.

How your client pays you

We bill you ₹299 per seat per month either way, so this changes when the money reaches you — never how much of it you keep.

An illustration, not a forecast — it assumes you keep every client and launch at a steady rate, and a growing fleet’s first year always flatters, because most of its seats are still inside their free 3 months. “You keep” counts a month’s margin in the month you serve it, not the month the money arrives, so selling a year upfront moves cash forward without inventing profit. Wholesale and the platform fee are the real current numbers.

The playbook

How to launch your own platform

Two jobs, and they are worth telling apart. The first happens once and is mostly waiting on DNS and Meta. The second is what you do for every client after that, and it takes about ten minutes.

1

Set up your platform

Once · live within a day

You need a domain you control and an email sending account. Everything else can wait — you can be launching stores before your WhatsApp number or your gateway is approved.

  1. Step 1

    Point your domain at us

    10 min + DNS

Add two A records at your registrar — @ and * — pointing at the IP we show you. The wildcard is the load-bearing one: it is what makes every storefront you ever launch reachable. We then issue a single SSL certificate covering your landing page, your clients' dashboards, their tracking pages and every shop on your domain.

Why here: First, genuinely. Your WhatsApp templates get submitted to Meta carrying your links, and a template approved against the wrong domain needs another review cycle to fix.

    Portal → Domain

  2. Step 2

    Put your brand on it

    10 min

Logo, favicon, brand colour, and the support email, phone and WhatsApp link your clients should contact. This is what appears on your landing page, on every dashboard your clients open, and in the footer of every email your fleet sends.

Why here: Before the next step — it is the letterhead on the mail your sender is about to start sending.

    Portal → Branding

  3. Step 3

    Connect your email sender

    20 minRequired

Your own SMTP credentials. Welcome mail, sign-in details, order confirmations and password resets all leave from your address. We send a real test message and will not mark it verified until it lands.

Why here: Required before your first store. There is deliberately no fallback to our sender, so a client onboarded without this could never receive their own login.

    Portal → Connectors

  4. Step 4

    Connect WhatsApp

    30–60 minOptional

Your own WhatsApp Business number, then submit the OTP and order templates. Meta reviews them inside your account, usually within a few hours. Shoppers then get login codes and order updates from your number.

Why here: Optional — switch it off and shoppers sign in by email instead. Worth doing anyway: we never send from our number on your behalf, so email-only is exactly what your clients' shoppers get.

    Portal → Connectors

  5. Step 5

    Create your packages

    10 minRequired

A name, a term and your retail price — 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, or any whole number of months you like. The wholesale cost sits next to each one as you type, so you set prices against your real margin instead of guessing. Decide here how much free trial you give your own client, from none to three months.

Why here: A store cannot exist without one: the package is what fixes its term, its renewal date and what it costs you.

    Portal → Plans & pricing

  6. Step 6

    Add your payment gateway

    15 minOptional

Your own Razorpay or Cashfree keys, plus UPI if you want it, so clients buying from your pricing page pay you directly. We verify the keys work before saving them, then never touch that money again — no invoices to your clients, no revenue share, no cut.

Why here: Only needed for self-serve buying on your public page. Launching stores yourself from the portal works without it, so this never has to hold up your first client.

    Portal → Payments

  7. Step 7

    Top up your wallet

    5 min

Nothing is charged when you launch — every store runs free for its first 3 months. The wallet is what covers the wholesale when that window closes, and it is prepaid, so there is no invoice to chase and nothing to cancel.

Why here: Keep roughly one term of wholesale per store in it. If a store's wholesale falls due and the balance cannot cover it, only that one store pauses — never your whole fleet.

    Portal → Wallet

2

Launch a client's store

~10 minutes · every time

This is the part you repeat. One form in Portal → Stores, and the shop is live on your domain before your client has finished reading your proposal.

  1. 1 of 5

    Fill in six fields

Store name, store address, your client's name, their email, a package, and how much free trial you are giving them. The address check runs as you type, so you know the name is free before you promise it.

  2. 2 of 5

The store is live before you close the tab

Storefront on your domain with SSL, a dashboard at your app address, and your client's sign-in details on their way from your email address. No provisioning queue, no ticket, no wait.

  3. 3 of 5

Set it up, or hand it over

Pick one of the themes, load their catalogue and connect their payments for them as a paid setup — or send the login and let them do it. Everything a direct HOD merchant gets, your client gets, under your name.

  4. 4 of 5

    Bill them your way

Your price, your invoice, your gateway, your cash. Or point them at your own pricing page and let them buy and renew themselves. We are not in that transaction at any point.

  5. 5 of 5

You start paying us in month 4

The first 3 months of every store are free to you. After that its wholesale is debited from your wallet each term. Collect from your client in month one and those first three months are pure float.

How the money works

Prepaid, one direction, no surprises

Launching costs nothing

Put as many stores live as you can sell. Each one runs free of wholesale for 3 months, so your wallet is untouched while you are still onboarding the client.

Then wholesale, per term

When a store's free window closes, ₹299 for that store is debited from your prepaid wallet, and again for every month it stays live. One rate, no term to commit to.

A short wallet pauses one store

Not your fleet. The single store whose wholesale fell due pauses and resumes the moment the balance covers it, and we never tell that merchant why.

And the other direction: there isn't one. What your clients pay you goes to your own payment gateway. We never touch it, never hold it and never take a percentage — not of their subscription and not of the orders their shoppers place.

Straight answers

Questions agencies actually ask

What does it cost to become a partner?

Nothing to apply and nothing to run. There is no platform fee: the only thing you ever pay is ₹299 per live store per month, and every store you launch is free for its first 3 months. There is no revenue share and no per-order commission on your clients' sales.

Will my clients ever see the HOD Media name?

No. Storefronts, dashboards, emails, WhatsApp messages, tracking pages and invoices all carry your brand on your domain. Login codes leave from your WhatsApp number and email from your sending domain, so we are not even in the delivery path. The only relationship we have is with you.

How long does it take to go live?

Most partners are live within a day. Applying takes two minutes and gives you portal access immediately — no sales call and no contract. The slow parts are DNS propagation on your domain and Meta's review of your WhatsApp templates, both of which are out of everyone's hands.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business account to start?

No. A verified email sender is required, because it carries your clients' own sign-in details and password resets. WhatsApp is optional — switch it off in the portal and shoppers sign in by email instead. It is worth connecting, though: we never send from our number on your behalf, so without it your clients' shoppers get email-only updates.

When do I actually start paying for a store?

In month four. Every store you launch is free of wholesale for its first 3 months, so if you collect from your client in month one, those three months are pure float. After that the store's wholesale is debited from your prepaid wallet on each term boundary.

What happens if my wallet runs out?

Only the individual store whose wholesale fell due pauses, and it resumes the moment the balance covers it. Your fleet is never taken down at once, and we never contact the merchant about it — they have very likely paid you in full, and telling them their store is paused would be both false and the loudest possible way to break your white-label promise. You are told, and only you.

Can my clients buy from me directly, without me launching each store?

Yes. Your portal builds a public pricing page on your own domain where clients pick a package and pay on your own Razorpay or Cashfree keys. Their store is provisioned automatically the moment the payment clears. You need a connected gateway for that — but you can launch stores yourself from the portal long before your gateway is approved.

Is there a contract or a minimum?

No contract, no lock-in and no minimum number of stores. The wallet is prepaid, so stopping simply means not topping it up again.

Apply to become a partner
